Chocolate Chippies
This mini baggie of craft chocolate chippies is step #1 on the path to craft chocolate chip cookies (‘cccc’, not to be confused with ‘yum yum yum yum’). Lovingly packaged in home-compostable baggies, it's the ideal to-go bundle of "good-feels" to pop in your reusable tote for an afternoon pick-me-up.
Made from our signature single-origin recipes, slowcocoa chocolate chippies and chunks come in dark, milk or white, ranging only two to four ingredients. We always start with our house-roasted, direct-trade cacao, sourced from origins as geographically close as possible to us in NYC in our effort to minimize our carbon footprint.
Compared to many dark chocolates we’re familiar with from childhood or the check-out aisle, you'll notice far more milky-creaminess and smooth, addictively yummy sweetness. At the same time, thanks to the fine-flavor cacao, our in-house roasting, and minimalist ingredients, these chippies and chunks carry far less sugar – and lots more subtle flavor – than we typically associate with the dark, milk or white chocolates of our youth.
In short. . . these may just be the building blocks for the yummiest chocolate chip cookies - or mindful snack time - you've yet to nibble on.

Zorzal is the namesake for Zorzal Reserve in the Dominican Republic, where we proudly source the beans that go into this very bar.
With a focus on habitat restoration and climate change mitigation, Zorzal Reserve is a private reserve and bird sanctuary of over 1,000 acres, with 70% of the land dedicated as the "forever wild" winter home to Bicknell's Thrush – zorzal in Spanish – a highly threatened songbird who spends summers in upstate NY.
The remaining 30% of the land is home to some of the world's most sustainably-produced and delicious organic cacao, which helps to fund the reserve's conservation efforts. We pay a premium, well over fair trade minimums, so that each farmer and producer receives a truly fair pay to sustain their labor and livelihood.
