Shipping policy

We do our absolute best to ship all orders within two days (usually much faster!) between Mondays and Thursdays. Orders placed outside that window will ship on the next available business day – unless expedited shipping is purchased at the time of checkout – in order to ensure your slowcocoa reaches its destination in optimal nibble-ready condition.

Why only ship Monday - Thursday?

When shipped via normal (aka, non-expedited) methods, chocolate placed in the mail after a Thursday may be subject to routine but nonetheless cruel, high-temperature conditions. This often includes extended truck exposure, or what chocolate-pathologists may refer to as "ETE" (not to be confused with the more desirable outcome, "EAT", or the more desirable acronym, "ETA".)*

Especially in the warmer months, and throughout the year when shipping to warmer climates, we want to take every precaution to ensure your slowcocoa reaches you in peak form.
